At Cooperating Volunteers, we have a multitude of volunteer programs abroad specifically focused on education. Almost all educational volunteering abroad destinations, on the different continents where volunteering takes place (Americas, Asia, Africa, and Oceania) , have programs dedicated to education.

The educational programs volunteers work on are both general, covering a variety of subjects, and specific English programs. By volunteering in education, you provide children with a broad learning experience that will lead to new opportunities in the future.

Education volunteering in America

In Latin America, the educational level is low , and there are many problems surrounding the education system, such as insufficient teacher salaries and poor infrastructure. Therefore, our organization advocates for education, implementing programs that help improve and increase children’s knowledge in different subjects, as well as providing support to teachers.

It’s noteworthy that most teaching programs developed in America are activity-based, aiming to educate not only with a theoretical foundation but also in a more fun way through games, songs, etc.

Education volunteering in Africa

In Africa, the educational situation is poor . There are many disadvantaged families who cannot afford to pay for their children’s education, and therefore, we believe it is necessary to contribute to ending educational inequalities. As a result, we want volunteers to assist teachers. The number of teachers is very low, making it difficult to adequately teach all students.

In addition to basic education programs, there are also more specialized programs for special education and for young children in daycare centers. The special education program aims to provide equal educational opportunities to individuals with different needs. The daycare program, meanwhile, promotes early education through activities, encouraging English, and more.

Education volunteering in Asia

In Asia, we also have various educational programs. With this program, we want volunteers to collaborate with teachers on a daily basis to expand and improve children’s knowledge.

One of Asia’s most prominent educational programs is the community-based program in Thailand. This volunteer program helps Cambodian children living in Thailand who don’t speak Thai acquire the language skills they need to enroll in school.

Education volunteering in Oceania

With Cooperating Volunteers, you can also volunteer in education in Fiji (Oceania) . This program aims to support public schools, given their limited educational programs. Through this educational volunteer program abroad, you not only help improve students’ basic educational knowledge but also broaden their cultural background.

Education volunteering in Europe

Finally, it’s also worth noting that we have an education program in Europe, specifically in Croatia. It’s a program focused on teaching children with special needs. The goal is to support teachers so the children can lead as normal a life as possible and support themselves.
