In this program, volunteers join a team of local fishermen to assist them in their daily activities around Lake Malawi, a magnificent African lake recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and situated between Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania.
You will actively contribute to a range of tasks that local fishermen undertake, including repairing and mending fishing nets, drying fish for markets, and collecting fish from the lake.
Participating in actual fishing may also be an option, depending on weather conditions and the level of difficulty.
Additionally, you will gain a unique insight into their lives, families, joys, and struggles. You will get to understand how they survive and learn about their lifestyle, culture, and customs.
