Volunteer experience and responsible tourism in one trip
The Philippines is a true paradise on Earth. With more than 7,000 islands, this Southeast Asian archipelago captivates those who visit with its crystal-clear waters, white sands, coral reefs, and hospitality that stays engraved in the heart.
At Cooperating Volunteers, we believe that a volunteer trip is not only about helping and sharing with local communities but also about living the culture, exploring nature, and discovering magical places that make the experience unforgettable. That is why, during your free time, you will be able to enjoy some of the best beaches in the world, always with a responsible and sustainable tourism approach.
Below, we share with you some of the most spectacular beaches in the Philippines that you can visit while living this experience.

- El Nido, Palawan
Considered one of the most beautiful gems on the planet, El Nido is a place that seems straight out of a movie. Surrounded by imposing karst formations and turquoise lagoons, it offers fine sandy beaches such as Nacpan Beach, ideal for unwinding after a week of volunteering.
In addition, El Nido is the gateway to the Bacuit Islands, a group of islets perfect for snorkeling and discovering the richness of the coral reefs.
- Boracay
Boracay is perhaps the most famous beach in the Philippines thanks to its White Beach, a four-kilometer stretch of white sand and deep blue waters. For a time, it suffered from tourist overcrowding, but today it has regained its splendor thanks to a more sustainable tourism policy.
Here you can stroll at sunset, try water sports, or simply relax in a hammock.
- Malapascua, Cebu
If you are looking for a more peaceful atmosphere, Malapascua is your destination. This small island is known in the diving world as one of the few places where thresher sharks can be spotted.
Beyond diving, Malapascua offers quiet beaches such as Bounty Beach, perfect for reading, meditating, or enjoying the scenery without rushing.

- Siargao
Famous for being the surfing capital of the Philippines, Siargao combines the adrenaline of its waves with dreamy quiet spots like Guyam Island or Daku Island. In addition, it is an ideal place to explore mangroves and natural lagoons.
- Camiguin
This volcanic island is less known, but it is a true treasure. On White Island, a sandbar in the middle of the sea, you can enjoy unique views of volcanoes and the ocean at the same time.
- Coron, Palawan
Like El Nido, Coron is a must-see destination in Palawan. Its waters hide ancient sunken ships, making it a fascinating place for diving enthusiasts. Beaches such as Banol Beach or Atwayan Beach are perfect for relaxing after cultural and community immersion in your volunteer project. Moreover, this is where the base of our projects in the Philippines is located, giving you unbeatable access to everything you can do on this island.

More than beaches
The most special thing about a volunteer trip to the Philippines is that it combines the best of two worlds:
- Solidarity and commitment, by collaborating with local communities in educational, environmental, or development projects.
- Connection with nature, enjoying beaches and landscapes that seem unreal.
Each day will be an opportunity to learn, share, and create memories that go beyond the trip.
Responsible tourism in the Philippines: our mission
At Cooperating Volunteers, we promote a model of tourism that respects the environment and supports local communities. Visiting paradisiacal beaches does not conflict with acting consciously:
- Use biodegradable sunscreen to protect corals.
- Avoid single-use plastics.
- Support local businesses so your impact is positive.
- Respect the culture and customs of the community that welcomes you.
- Do not promote irresponsible fishing or tourism that alters marine life.
- Avoid touching or extracting corals during your aquatic activities.
- Always walk on designated trails and avoid leaving waste on virgin beaches.
- Always respect mangrove ecosystems, vital for maintaining local biodiversity balance.
If you choose the Philippines as your volunteer destination, you will discover that its magic goes far beyond natural beauty. Each beach, each encounter, and each smile will become part of a transformative experience you will remember forever.
