Undoubtedly, gender inequality is a global and persistent challenge in our society. It encompasses wage gaps, employment disparities, limited access to education, and underrepresentation in high-ranking positions.
Addressing gender inequality is essential to move towards a fairer and more inclusive world.
While differences vary depending on the country and culture, there are always actions that can be taken to improve the situation in each context.
At Cooperating Volunteers, we have created projects that are fully aware and committed to bringing about change. In Gatanga, Kenya, we have the Women’s Empowerment program… So, what does this program consist of?
We support women in the village who have not had access to basic education and provide assistance in personal development, environmental awareness, entrepreneurship, and financial education.
Many of these women, with hidden talents that they have been unable to unleash due to their circumstances, find this safe space where they engage in activities for social, familial, and economic development.
We are confident that this is just the beginning of what we hope to see in this society. And we firmly believe in this change.
