The volunteer program developed by Aborigen on the coast, in coordination with the Secretary of Sustainable Development of the Yucatán government (SDS), is a project that promotes the ecology and regeneration of marine ecosystems through three fundamental programs that support the model for regenerating the Yucatán coastal region.
During this volunteer program you will engage in the following activities:
- Turtle Program
- Beach Cleaning
- Monitoring of Marine Life
You will work at a marine environmental protection station.
Important: From June to September (inclusive), you can participate in turtle volunteering. During the rest of the year, there are a variety of activities to be carried out.
Monitoring and cleaning of mangrove wetlands: Mangrove ecosystems are among those most at risk of degradation and disappearance worldwide.
