The total cost of volunteering is divided into two parts: the registration fee paid to book your placement, which is 210€ and and the program fee paid afterward.

What does it include?

• Administration costs
• Support from Cooperating Volunteers staff at all times
• Airport pick-up and transport to your accommodation
• 2 days orientation
• Introduction to Costa Rican culture
• City Tour
• Accommodation
• 2 meals per day, 7 days a week (Breakfast and Dinner) in the San Ramon programs
• 3 meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) for the ecological plantation and turtle program and the animal rescue program.
• Regular evaluation meetings during your program
• Support from local staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Volunteering certificate (upon request).

What additional costs will volunteers incur?

Visa, flights, travel insurance (compulsory), vaccinations, transfer back to the airport, lunch costs, other expenses.
(*** volunteers in Costa Rica usually find that 40 € (US$ 50, approx) is enough for basic weekly expenses) Weekends usually have about 170 € (US$ 200, approx) of expenses due to extra tourist activities.
